AVOID COTTON SWAB
If you think ear wax is gross and have been cleaning it with cotton swab till now, then stop doing that. It is actually the self-cleaning process of ear. Though you may clean excess wax with a damp towel, cotton swabs are not advisable as these may push wax into the ear that may cause trauma to the canal wall or the eardrum. You may use ear wax removal solution over the course of a few nights for excessive deposition. this may soften the wax so that it will eventually flow out on its own.
